Copperwood Tavern is just steps away from the Shirlington Dog Park, making us the perfect spot for dog lovers! We take pride in being exceptionally dog-friendly and welcome you to bring your pup to enjoy our patio. Inside, you’ll find our beloved Dog Wall of Fame, a tribute to our four-legged guests. Our Dog of the Month program celebrates our patrons and their pups, adding a warm, personal touch to our cozy tavern atmosphere.

After enjoying this program for a DECADE we decided to begin a new initiative in partnership with Animal Welfare League of Arlington aimed at using our platform to highlight dogs in need of adoption, knowing our community could potentially help make a big difference. 

Initially, we planned on only doing this during the 2024 holiday season but we proved very quickly our community is powerful! We assisted in getting 2 dogs successfully adopted, and fast! We knew in our hearts we had to continue the partnership as long as they'd have us.

We are committed to helping these animals needing to find their forever home.
